interesting comment.
(i kind of fancy garamond myself ... tho' footlight is o.k., too but likely shouldn't be used for a resume.)
there are some guidelines on the net about scannable resumes. Cal has some general guidelines but not as specific as Cal Poly SLO or UC Davis here and here. on font ... there is the whole serif or sans serif decision.
i'm not going to provide any resume tips, but i will say i agree with SL ... and at a minimum, you should happy and proud of your resume (serif or sans serif!).

Being proud of your resume means first being humble enough to let people critique it. My resume is in better shape now after having 6 or so people, including Shirley and Todd, take a look at it. Thanks to all that have helped me with my resume!
ama - congrats to you, also! 2 interviews in a week ... back-to-back days ... awesome!
as for having people look at your resume, it's always a good idea to get as many perspectives as possible.
and my opinion on resumes - at a minimum, be honest about your experience, be
prepared to be explain every item you have written, and know how to speak about the context.
